Memorial Stadium, home of Tiger football, was founded in 1926. Named after Don Faurot, former football coach and inventor of the Split \"T\" formation and built in memory of Missouri residents who lost their lives in WWI. Its current seating capacity is 62,000, although crowds in excess of 75,000 have seen the Tigers play on Faurot Field.
